=====The Great Scorching===== The deserts that lay to the west of this fertile land of [[Tradarda]] were once vibrant and full of life just as this land is, the accursed winds of the deserts echoing a time where moisture lingered on its grim, arid air of fluctuating temperature. These deserts, which are known to us as [[Grecyda]], the barren land of lingering fire and flame which was kissed by the heat of the sun in times long ago, were born of the many and enduring punishments of [[the Elohad]], those beings who once resided on this plane but have since ascended beyond. The punishment was one of forsaking and eventual destruction to this continent of [[Ethrekas]] born of the heavens, a continent were all things could come to exist as its fortune was revealed through its ancient aura of perpetual, coaxing light and energy.\\ \\ Grecyda, being the wasteland known by our people as being filled with the haunting souls of life and water and their unfortunate conclusions, death and decay, is the region beside our own filled with the many of the people and their ancient traditions, though deceased they have become by the will of the punishing gods. In ages ago, many peoples used to inhabit the various areas of what is now the wasteland of Grecyda, recognizing the land as being plentiful and abundant with the harvests of crops and fortune, being a certain paradise filled only with the joy and laughter of eternal sustenance and life. Its eventual fall would be one of proportion to their misdeeds, inevitably being consumed by their own impurity and evil as the punishment was inspired and reciprocated by their sins against the saints and the innocents.\\ \\ The end of their existences, being nigh to all of these lands which would become Grecyda, was instigated by the deeds of the ancients in opposition to the Elohad’s holy rule, the beings born of the light who walked among us as, in this stage, Ethrekas was not yet apart from the heavens from which it had been born from, light remaining within it in a state of everlasting comfort and simplicity. Those who had been first born from the light were the Elohad, whose rule over the many lands in this time mentioned of only in mythology and their legends was marked by an era of peace and tranquility as they commanded absolute obedience to [[Solara]], the goddess of light and childbirth who had contained the dream of reality within her.\\ \\ The Elohad, the beings of light who resided under the will of Solara, the divine maiden of creation and life, were those who had been most pure and loyal to the mother of all, looking upon her as their nurturing, benevolent mother who gave all of the world its energies. Though there were many of these beings who were aligned with the light and thus, Solara herself, there were many other god-like entities who refused to bow before Solara, instead condemning themselves to residing in the chaos that contained all within it, these entities being the antithesis of the Elohad, eventually coming to be recognized as devilish figures who wished to bring Solara’s will to its end. It was the beginning of these devils that would eventually spell the end of abundance in the boundlessly fertile hills that would become Grecyda, the people of this land being most wicked and profane, misusing Solara’s very name and creations.\\ \\ The many peoples who had inhabited the wasteland of Grecyda in times of before were known for their alignment with the [[Avetad]] of the land, those beings who had become separated from Solara’s light and will, though born from Solara they were as they had been born at the same occasion of the Elohad. These devils would come to entrance the people of these now barren lands into joining them in their profane arts of rulership and creed, the people then worshipping the Avetad as the truly divine beings while maintaining them as their own rulers, oftentimes ruling beneath and in accordance to their mighty unholiness. The acts which, together, would constitute the searing and scorching punishments to their lands were widespread and found everywhere within their refined arts of sculpting and architecture, their arts being of and depicting certain events that they had then desecrated and the laws of Solara being offended and forgotten.\\ \\ The mother and body of all that was, the light of Solara’s effervescence, looked upon those worlds in dismay as her laws had been ignored and defiled numerously and without piety, their respect for the original light being replaced with the worship of false gods who had been infused with a different kind of energy from that of Solara’s. Her gaze, not being seen by the peoples of what would become Grecyda, was wasted for them as they could not perceive her divinity, having been condemned to the sins of the Avetad who refused to bow before Solara, the divine creator of all.\\ \\ \\Within this vast jungle teeming with life and moisture, there however existed a people that had remained faithful to Solara, these people being our ancestors who, together, would become the Ethetia, Solara’s chosen people who had seen her light and recognized it as such. Our people, who had followed and revered the true gods born of Solara, would not be inflicted punishment upon, as in Solara’s eyes we were perfect and congenial to her, being one of many who had shared in her life and form.\\ \\ The Avetad, being present and alive throughout the many lands that would become scorched by the wrath of Aldrath, Solara’s favored immortal warrior born of the fire, would be punished in accordance to Aldrath’s rites of destruction and rage, being a hot-tempered god who was the sacred flame of the sun itself. The punishment, of course, was the flame which decimated those lands and the many peoples who resided in it, their deaths being one of justice as they had sinned against the benevolence of Solara, the Avetad who caused the corruption having fled the realm through the many portals opened to another plane from which they would come to call their domain. The many princes contained within the existence of the Avetad would forever taint all of this continent of Ethrekas and condemn it to an eventual demise, the continent having been the center of all that was in the world and thus, been subject to both the Avetad’s temptation and the Elohad’s salvation.\\ \\ The end, it seemed, was nigh as the flame emerged from the sky and licked the earth that it lied on top of, the fires of heaven being cast down to bring destruction and punishment to the land that would become Grecyda in its wrath and divine retribution for the peoples who had come to worship the false gods of the west. The fire cloaked and enveloped all structures and people as they screamed in agony and dismay as their paradise had then been removed from them, all life becoming one with the many descending flames of the sky and punishing them with certain and resolute death, godly wrath and vengeance being its very nature.\\ \\ The divine punishment, having been afflicted upon the peoples of what was now Grecyda, had finally come to a consummate ending with the cost of removing all life from the lands affected, the earth becoming kissed with the heat of the sun and its impurities removed as the sacred flame of Aldrath had served its purpose, the fire being such a destructive and volatile force which laid waste to the lands that would become Grecyda.\\ \\ The skies, now closing as Aldrath retreated from its broad length, turned violent and turbulent, the air of the sky becoming disturbed by the fire’s lingering presence, though in this act it simply spread the remaining fire every which way throughout the burned skies. The air had become dry and arid, the land of Grecyda remaining this way as Solara had willed it to be so, the cleansing having been a success.\\ \\ It was only after this time that the Elohad would ascend to the heavens, leaving in their wake the tools needed to greet them in the afterlife as a soul in the place of a corporeal form, these tools being the acts of sainthood and godliness that would become necessary to enter the heavens. Our people would eventually come to know the many gods as those born of Solara’s will and desire, upholding her laws as her chosen children.\\ \\ The Avetad, similarly, had also abandoned this plane, becoming instead ingrained in the chaos as their essences were willed out of the land in Solara’s act of cleansing, being immortal beings who could not simply be annihilated and killed but rather, banished and displaced. The emanations of the sun were the sole cause of this, becoming burned and wounded by the sacred flame as they had proven to be most unholy.
