Caelarkhe

Caelarkhe, referred to also as the celestial beginning and principle from which all forms of life and soul can trace their origin to, is worshipped among the descendants of the Cephareth as the power which passed its very life and vitality to them, and that which most strive to preserve among the mortal plane of scattered worlds of chaos. Caelarkhe is thus thought to supply an order to the mortal plane, being a cosmic law which allows for the existence of immortality as the soul proves to be eternal and undying. The celestial beginning is thought to have gifted the Cephareth with their forms of a magnificent light so that they might realize themselves into a physical form among their land of Arethayn, enabling Caelarkhe’s powers to coalesce into the ancient land by the hands of the deified Cephareth themselves. Before the celestial principle became manifest throughout the worlds, it is thought that there existed no law or order to the cosmos, and that the unadulterated energies of the forgotten world existed with a boundlessness and indefiniteness that was defined only by what it could not be, and not the shapes in which it could become. Accordingly, the Sorya, spirits who are bound to Caelarkhe’s order and stasis, are thought to be the divine shapes and forms that act as the static agents which provide example and grants resemblance to the beings of Aurius, though being paradoxically inclined as a result of their constant being that yet manages to lay affection to Aurius. Therefore, the Sorya belong to quintessence, and they are the perfect and complete beings that remain wholly unaffected by the darkness, though possessing no capacity for change by their own will and being themselves immovable. It is believed that Caelarkhe lacks this capacity for change as well, and thus, Caelarkhe is believed more as a state or principle rather than an elven god of some kind among the descendants of the Cephareth, with various attitudes in regards to its use.

As the more perfect and congenial descendants of the Cephareth, the Arethara strive to preserve throughout Arethayn the structure and stability of the radiant, golden light which Caelarkhe once provided, so that the land might know the presence of the infused eternal and immortal energies of this light. It is believed among the Arethari people that Araray, the ageless elven patriarch who is the sole survivor of the Altori Era, is the one who was most gifted with these powers of the beginning time, where the celestial was observed throughout the mortal plane and had not yet receded to the chaos and mortality of the plane of Exitius. Therefore, Araray is worshipped as Caelarkhe translated into a supremely conscious yet starkly elven form, who retains all of the gifts of stasis, order, and the eternal so that Arethayn can be subject to his rule as the elven king. Araray’s status as the sole or righteous incarnation of Caelarkhe is, however, disputed among the members of the other elven races, such that all who pledge their allegiance to Araray are the Arethara and are thus subject to his rulings and edicts in regards to the occurrences of the mythical elven homeland of Arethayn.
