The Ethetia of Ethrekas
The race of that which the Ethetian people belong to is native to Ethrekas, where their ancestors thrived in the bountiful jungles of Tradarda, which, in the Ethetian language, means fertile land. These people primarily worshipped the old gods of the Elohad, those same who Solara had gifted with divinity before ascending to reclaim her place in the sky. After the arrival of the Vaathari people from Arethayn, the majority of the tribal and uncivilized Ethetia were displaced into the infertile and barren lands of western Ethrekas, those staying becoming mere slaves of the elves.
Origins
The Ethetia of Tradarda believe themselves to be descendants of a people that looked upon the sun in wonder, having been chosen by its light and allowed to continue existing in an era where great strife is said to have occurred. As they gazed upon the light, the light altered their existences and, consequentially, spawned a new culture, the sun embracing them while providing divine atonement to the accursed others of the land, their punishment being their consummate demise as the fire leapt into the antiquated world.
Culture
The ancient people of the Ethetia were known to have varied cultures due to the lack of unification of their various tribes, these tribes being scattered all across Tradarda, where they often partook in small squabbles over territory and practicing religion despite their affinity for the goodness which Solara espoused. It was these tribes of different thought that truly weakened the Ethetian people, allowing the unification of the elves and the subsequent expelling of their people to become successful. However, because of a constant theme in their beliefs of the veneration of the sun, known as the giver of life, they managed to reside alongside each other with few casualties and the destruction of their people.
Notably, the Ethetia of this time practiced the religion which crowned Solara as the creatrix of the cosmos, and thus, bore and codified her commandments to be observed among them. One of these commandments involved the practice of maintaining peace between tribes by exchanging their daughters for positive relations to the offending tribe, where the exchanged daughter could be regarded as both a hostage and an honorary guest, indicating all out war if the daughter were to be mutilated in any way. This specific commandment was supplied by Alarayna, a goddess of fertility and marriage who was believed to be one of the Elohad.
Though they do have this commandment of peace in place, their men are often admired for their propensity to engage in a playful yet contesting combat with the men of other tribes, such that male strength and virility is determined by this act. Thus, there are many events that take place between tribes, with the competition providing itself as a method to ensure that those unfit are not granted a role that is higher in society. Within tribes, there is still yet a determining method of strength, such that the strongest is granted the role of the chieftain of the tribe.
Biology
The Ethetian people possess the brown, tanned skin along with dark brown hair and brown eyes that Solara imbued them with, and with these genetic traits being inherited by their descendants, the Kataletia and Eretia of Ethrekas. These original traits are present in all of the Ethetia and their descendants, these traits remaining in them due to a lack of need for a change, the harshness of the sun’s rays proving to be an obstacle easily passed by through having darker skin.
The men and women of this race are known for their broad skulls that yet manage to possess some sharpness to it, with many beauties having both high and extending cheekbones. Others still possess a wide face that may be seen as attractive, but are lacking in length in regards to the position of the eyes and mouth. Of the men, they oftentimes are muscular and sturdy, being that they wield the swords and weapons of warriors and fighters as learned arts among themselves. Women, on the other hand, are praised for their petite build, but there are some who still resemble more closely the muscular and strong build of their men.
