The Arenic Age
It is a legend spoken of by our people of a world in which the divinities of the The Daevas, Beings of Light and Order were omnipresent throughout, those same powers which have since abandoned our world of mortality as a result of the inclusion of the darkness into its very essence. These divinities were the spirits which brought about the existence of this plane of mortality and ephemerality, and which would go on to craft us through the formulation of their essences and, accordingly, would come to be worshipped as our creator gods in some time. In this stage, our ancestors were not wholly incarnated, not yet having been created through the artifices of soul and life which the Daevas would come to grant us. Thus, we wandered in a state of oblivion in our spiritual condition of a lack of coalescence, and which was that same state which disabled our ancestors from immaculately materializing from the raw mana which had been granted by the light. During this time, we were oblivious to those distinctions between good and evil as a result of our inability to recognize the difference between the shades and tints expressed by the spirits, and which was only observed when our ancestors were given form and shape by the Daevas as a result of the inclusion of an isolated and disparate identity to that of mere, roaming mana of variegated shades. In this forgotten world, the Daevas were spirits of stability who ruled over the ever-flowing mana, and could control the shades of the light which were expressed through their formulations into the realms of existence, those same realms which they were bound to. Thus, the Daevas were supernatural beings capable of the arcane arts of magic and sorcery, and these spirits being those same who would act as the instruments of a purification which they may have granted us.
The Daevas were thus those gods who were agents of the unrecognizable mortal plane and ruled over it before modernity, being able to manipulate the energies of their environments in order to bring about the progression and change which would eventually instigate the formation of our beginnings, our people lacking the unadulterated power and divinity of those which ruled. The magistrates which the Daevas were adherents of granted order throughout our world, and saw the proliferation of many essences and citadels which were all born of the light, each belonging to one of the seven worlds of before modernity. The immortal Daevas were counted among those ranks and leagues of the profuse and sundry powers of the vast and incomprehensible light, at this time having manipulated their own souls to trap the light of the heavens within themselves in order to ensure their immortality and preservation as beings of both the spirit and the corporeal. These Daevas of augmented ability ruled from their towers and fortresses, supplanting themselves into the primeval world and living in an era of certain paradisal wisdom and harmony with the light which had overtaken all that was at the behest of this omnipotent force that was the light.
As they existed alongside our ancestors and parallel to our natures, the gods that were the Daevas inhabited towering cities constructed of a stone of the purest white which, when in the presence of the golden light of the skies of this era, radiated with the shine and insignia of a divinity matched by the Daevas. The Daevas ruled from these towers of a certain grandiosity and skill, and would define this age as a result of their proliferating rule over the worlds which descended from the light and ascended from the dark. Thus, the age would be known as the Arenic Age, an eon in which the divine properties were plentiful and the ethereal spirits could stand to roam the lands and walk among it as its inhabitants of deific natures. Creation knew the love of the Daevas, and the Daevas knew those arcane secrets which allowed for them to manipulate creation itself and cultivate its great power in order to bring about an era of peace among both their crystallized essences and our incorporeal forms.
At this time, the mana which would become all that was in this world was plentiful, and was freely manipulated by the Daevas in order to reap the rewards of such an occurrence as magnificent as the mortal plane, and in its time would see the birth of countless peoples and magnificent conglomerations of the pure, white stone of the divine which was tinted by the heavenly sky of a golden color. However, the stability and divinity of the plane would soon be eroded upon by the darkness which lay opposite of the light, degrading the magnificent powers of the Daevas which were circumstantially derived from the presence and inclusion of the light into the place between, the darkness possessing an attribute which could not be integrated into the powers which were the Daevas.
Upon the introduction of the darkness to the forefront of this primeval world which predated the shaping of our people, there came to be a scarcity of the pure energies of unbound mana which would eventually precipitate the hurried conclusions of the divine powers as they saw their rule come to an end as a result of the accursed darkness. As such, the divine powers which were the Daevas were then forced to abandon the worlds and creations which would become us and, in doing so, would bring about the production of our ancestors from the waning light, at the cost of our ancestors’ souls being conjoined with the darkness and thus, being mortal. And so, it came to pass that the Daevas would be acknowledged as our creators, and that they were the divines to be worshipped and acknowledged throughout the land of that which we would call our home, and that their actions led to the creation of mortality and mortal life.
In the scarcity which was felt throughout all lands and worlds, the Daevas fled and became absent from the affairs of humanity, longing to preserve the power they once held as the rulers of the unbridled mana and light and, as such, conglomerating to found the mythological realm which retained the gifts of the light, projecting walls of the purest white in order to cast out the darkness from their courts and halls and thus, retaining the gift of immortality while still being bound to the worlds which they had ruled over. This would signify the end of the Arenic Age, an age in which mortality was unknown and shape was ephemeral and fleeting, thus introducing the existence of the mortal plane which was that same plane of certain mundanity which was far removed from the original powers of the Daevas, and which attracted the attention of those powers which did not belong to simply the Daevas. Now, we acknowledge also the existence and divinities of the asuras, the chaotic spirits who belonged wholly to the plane of chaos and the void and who borrow power from the diametrically found cosmic and primordial force of the dark.
