Aldrath is recognized by the cultures which descend from the Ethetia’s as a member of the Elohad, those who Solara gifted prior to her ascent into the sun. Before becoming gifted by Solara with the privilege of her immortality, the god was recognized as a warrior god that smote his enemies well, and who often gained the perquisite of victory through his great prowess in battle. It was Aldrath who roamed the lands of Ethrekas as a spirit of victorious combat, though eventually, he would bow before Solara as the goddess had proven herself as a worthy adjudicator and ruler. As a follower of Solara who had become one of the primaries of the Elohad, he was eventually gifted with the sacred flame, and from him there could be observed a certain destruction and cleansing in the enemies of Solara. The sacred flame had transformed his abilities, granting new heights of power and destruction, and so, becoming imbibed in it, the god became also one of holy wrath and the destroyer of evil. From Aldrath was born also the prospect of rebirth after destruction, and so was created the immortal phoenix, who expires in fire only to begin again as a new being.

To the ancient Ethetia of Ethrekas, Aldrath was acknowledged as one who oversaw their arts of combat in sport, and so the god was primarily worshipped by men as they sought dominion over the lands of Tradarda. In addition to being a warrior god, he is thought to have single-handedly brought the Makhetia to punishment through the decimation of their fertile lands and civilization, and this act being referred to as the Great Scorching. From the Great Scorching were born the jinn, who were spirits of an invisible fire who resided exclusively within the deserts of Grecyda, and whose mere presence ensured that the land would remain scorched and the air arid. Thus, the god was the combatant of the Avetad, those spirits who rebelled against the primordial Solara and would eventually be driven from the mortal plane.

The Kataletia of Ethrekas, as descendants of the Ethetia, acknowledge the god’s presence in their reverence of the jinn, those spirits who are not worshipped as gods as is the Elohad but instead, are themselves divine beings with propensities towards both good and evil. The modern Kataletia though, who had reinstated worship of the Elohad to be performed throughout all of Grecyda, acknowledged Aldrath as being one of the Elohad, and from Aldrath’s flame evil might be punished and an expiatory cleanse instigated throughout the world. As an Elohad, the commandment which Aldrath provided as an entrance into the paradise of Solara was simply to live in strength, withstanding the heat of the sun so that they might be cleansed and reborn into the sacred flame.

The Teletia, an ancient people who did not worship the Elohad as the later Kataletia did, held in high regard the jinn, and it was with the jinn that deals and arrangements were made so that they might be blessed with their magic. Aldrath, then, was regarded as the father of the jinn, though being conveniently removed from the activities of the mortal plane such that his presence did not instigate a worship for him. However, the Teletia were later regarded by their descendants who had inherited the Grecydan Empire’s presence as mistaken in their reverence, and so their tomes of incantation and summoning of jinn were lost upon the Grecydan Empire’s assertions of culture throughout all of Grecyda.
